What is Salford City Radio? Well, it’s much, much more than a radio station. We are the only radio station in the world that is just for Salford, and the great people of our city. But, we are also different from every other station that you can hear in the city because we are a not-for-profit community radio station. This means that we do not exist to simply attract more listeners than anybody else. We exist to offer our city an exclusively local radio service that promotes local events and focuses on local news and sport. We are also famous for our fantastic taste in music.

“High Voltage has supported new music in Manchester (and beyond) since 2003 via regular live music nights, record releases and a bi-monthly fanzine. The winner of the BOTB will receive a feature in the magazine and our website, www.highvoltage.org.uk.”

Here is what our Karen is going to offer the winning band!

” What I can offer the band is a great set or press images for a press pack.. All bands should be armed with one of these..

A good press shot will make the difference in your demo being dumped in the bin or put aside never to be heard.. So all the hard work in writing recording and not to mention the expenditure will all go to waste.

How many times have a heard a band say ‘well it’s all about the music’ yes they are right.. But great packaging gets it  closer to the ears of a label “.
